Prof. Dr. Hendrik Dienemann, Deputy Medical Director & Chief surgical physician Thoraxklinik Heidelberg (Germany)
Reports are produced immediately after the surgery. The surgery is fresh in your memory and the report becomes more authentic.
Sometimes cassettes are defect, or they get lost, as they have to be brought to the secretariat. They can also be accidentally wiped out or overwritten. This all asks for a new dictation, and this is irritating, as reports might have to be re-dictated several days after the surgery.
Using speech recognition does not change the way of working. In fact, the less you consciously focus on the speech recognition, the easier the system learns. I can definitely recommend SpeechMagic.
